Summer Student Faculty Collaborative Grant

The Summer Student-Faculty Collaborative Grant Program is facilitated by the Undergraduate Research Program. CSB/SJU has committed to funding a total of 13 summer projects from a wide range of student-faculty collaborative teams.  These funds are available to ALL disciplines and are distinct from traditional departmental lines held by each department.

The grant will only fund student stipends and a room and board allowance (totaling to approximately $6,000).  After projects are approved, students may apply for supplies, etc. through the UR Grant Program, if funds are available.  Faculty mentors of selected projects will have the opportunity to apply for a faculty stipend of $1,500 via the Faculty Stipend Form for mentoring one or multiple students.

It is the intent that these projects fit into a student’s 10 week summer availability and that mentorship takes place within a scholarly context throughout the entire execution of the research and be a formative process.

Call for faculty proposals for the 2019 Summer Collaborative Grant will take place in November 2018.
