SOT/Sem Hires Two Associate Directors of Admissions

Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary is pleased to announce two outstanding new hires in its Admissions Department. Hallie Barsody and Amy Wen have accepted positions as Associate Directors of Admission. Both will join the Admissions teams by the middle of May.

“The School of Theology and Seminary was blessed with a deep pool of exceptionally talented applicants; it is a testament to people’s desire to connect with and support the SOT/Sem’s mission and day-to-day work. Hallie and Amy rose to the top of a competitive search with their combinations work experience, creative vision for recruiting and engaging potential students, and love for the SOT/Sem. I am delighted to begin working with them in the weeks ahead.”

Shawn Colberg, Ph.D.

Associate Dean, Associate Professor of Theology

Both Amy and Hallie bring dynamic experience working in graduate theological admissions to our staff, drawn from their respective educations in diverse graduate theological settings. Hallie and Amy also bring a passion for the Benedictine and Catholic tradition of CSB+SJU and Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary. The Associate Directors of Admissions will be primarily responsible for recruiting new students to Collegeville.

This joint hiring in the Admissions Department marks an exciting next chapter in admissions for the SOT/Sem; it is the first time the department will dedicate three recruiters to the enrollment goals of the school. These two strategic hires, the $1 million Conversatio grant through the Lilly Endowment, and a newly finished application process through Slate Technosolutions aim to build sustainable growth in our student body.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hallie and Amy to the Admissions & Recruiting staff. A huge benefit to us is that they come with recruiting experience and familiarity with the SOT/Sem. This is the first time we have had three recruiters working to raise the visibility of Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary and increase our enrollment, we expect good things.”
