What is Prison Ministry

Prison ministry is a ministry that celebrates Mass with the prisoners at the St. Cloud Correctional Facility.  Volunteers have a variety of roles:  Instramentalists, Cantors, readers, selection songs, participate in the Mass, talk with the prisoners after Mass, etc.  Prison ministry is on Monday nights.  The van leaves the Abbey Church at 6:00 p.m., pick up at 6:15 outside of Gorecki at CSB, leaves for the prison, and returns around 9:15 p.m.


Mondays 6:00 pm-9:15 pm.

Training Session for new and returning volunteers is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Quad 360.  REGISTER HERE! After submitting your registration form, you will be directed to complete two forms for the Minnesota Department of Corrections.  See below:

Please complete these forms as soon as possible and return to Cindy Maile in SJU Campus Ministry, Mary Hall 100.  These forms must be completed and turned in prior to being approved to volunteer at the St. Cloud Prison.
