Meet Paige Hanson, a 2023 Psychology Major who will be attending the College of Saint Scholastica Graduate School for Occupational Therapy, Class of 2025

Starting my first year, my advisor met with me and set up a four-year plan that would help me reach my goal of applying to Occupational Therapy school. He also was sure to incorporate any other goals I had, such as Study Abroad or other courses I thought would impact my education. My advisor also wrote me a letter of recommendation for my graduate school applications. As a senior, it has been so fun to hear as others in the pre-professional programs have been getting accepted to graduate programs and deciding where they are going to continue their education.

Some advice I have is to do all the things available to you – try something new, explore different clubs and activities, sign-up for things that push you outside of your comfort zone. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of at CSB+SJU and in the surrounding communities that can enhance your understanding of people and also boost your resume! In addition, CSB+SJU has a great experiential development office where I have had the opportunity to connect with alums in the Occupational Therapy field. This is a great resource to use for informational interviews and to gain advice about your pre-professional program!
