Trampled snow and leaves not needing surrender
I find peace in a world where I am not a pretender
There is no judgment here, no stories unheard
And the sound of my song is free as a bird
We all came from here and this is where we’ll stay
So why then do people sometimes get in the way?
The frigid ice air and the snap of a branch
Will never cut as deep as a cynical glance
If we moved like nature, with nature, connected
I know things are possible we never suspected
So think of the wonders and joys to be found
If we respected and learned from this hallowed ground
