COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University presents ART, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater on the SJU campus. Tickets for ART are $20, $13 for seniors/youth and $10 for CSB/SJU faculty, staff and students with identification. For more information, call the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater at 320-363-3577.

ART, the internationally acclaimed and Tony award-winning comedy-drama by Yasmina Reza, paints a portrait of three long-time friends who allow a simple canvas to wreak havoc on their friendship. Strong bonds dissolve into finger pointing and fisticuffs until a blue-tip felt pen appears to be the only means of resolution. The real masterpiece is this smart, dazzling comedy about friendship and life, art and infinity. If beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, you must see ART. With colorful language and brilliant characters, ART is a palette to be shared with friends.

Since 1976, ART has created theatrical performances of the highest quality to entertain, engage and challenge local, regional and national audiences. ART began touring regionally in 1981 and embarked upon its first national tour in the early 1990s. Since then, ART has entertained hundreds of thousands across the United States.

This performance will include American Sign Language interpretation by Anne Pierce Rhodes and Amy Bursch.

This performance is sponsored by Heartland Arts Fund, the Minnesota State Arts Board and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The College of Saint Benedict for women and Saint John's University for men are partners in liberal arts education, providing students the opportunity to benefit from the distinctions of not one, but two nationally recognized Catholic, Benedictine, residential undergraduate colleges. Together, the colleges challenge students to live balanced lives of learning, work, leadership and service in a coeducational environment.
