The Saint John's University Bookstore will host a book signing from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 31, in the campus bookstore, which is located in Sexton Commons.

John Thavis will be signing copies of his new book "The Vatican Prophecies: Investigating Supernatural Signs, Apparitions and Miracles" and his previous book "The Vatican Diaries: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Power, Personalities, and Politics at the Heart of the Catholic Church." Thavis is a 1973 graduate of SJU and former bureau chief at Catholic News Service in Rome.

Patrick "Packy" Mader and Phil Rogosheske will be signing copies of Mader's new book "Minnesota Gold: Conversations with Northland Athletes Competing on the World Stage." The book celebrates the perseverance and triumphs of 57 diverse homegrown athletes from 1948-2014 as they pursued their dreams to compete in the greatest international competitions. Mader is an elementary teacher who lives in Northfield, Minnesota. He is the author of a number of children's books. Rogosheske, a St. Cloud Tech High School and Gustavus Adolphus athlete, was a member of the four-person flatwater kayak team in the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. His biography, along with Lindsay Whalen from Hutchinson and Ron Backes from Cold Spring, are featured in "Minnesota Gold."
