Events Scheduled for Anniversary of Josh Guimond's Disappearance

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. On the weekend of the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of Saint John's University student Joshua Guimond, various events will be held for the family and campus community.

On Friday, Nov. 7, friends of Guimond will distribute ribbons at the bus stops on the CSB and SJU campuses and on Saturday, Nov. 8, before the SJU football game. At the game, they will also unveil a large banner that will read Keep Hope Alive and Find Joshua.

On Sunday, Nov. 9, there will be a dedication of a tree at 11:30 a.m. on the grounds of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Maple Lake.

Also on Sunday, Nov. 9, the Saint John's community will offer a public prayer service at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall on the SJU campus. As part of the prayer service, there will be an open microphone session for people to share stories about Guimond.

Guimond was last seen leaving Metten Court on the SJU campus at approximately midnight, Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002. If anyone has information about Guimond's disappearance, please contact the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-251-4240 or SJU Life Safety Services at 320-363-2144.
