The Ninth Annual Diversity Conference, “Creating an Inclusive Community: Tools for Business, Health Care and Community,” is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Gorecki Center, CSB.

Although the conference is primarily designed for business, education, government, health care and other professionals who are interested in improving the experience for their customers, patients and clients while growing a diverse and inclusive workplace, it is open to students, faculty and staff.

The conference features an afternoon keynote presentation from Annette Atkins, professor emerita of history at CSB and Saint John’s University.

The morning keynote presentation will be presented by Janet Stovall, a Fortune 500 executive speechwriter. She will challenge businesses to get serious about inclusion.

Cost of the conference is $89 for CSB/SJU students, faculty and staff; CentraCare employees; St. Cloud Chamber members; and Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation Investors, and $99 for all others. The registration deadline is April 19.

If students can commit to attending the conference for the entire day, Intercultural and International Student Services (IISS) would be willing to work with them on the registration cost, according to Brandyn Woodard, director of IISS.

The conference is sponsored by CentraCare Health, the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation and CSB/SJU.
