Rachel Leen’s journey to academic excellence has been intentional. “It has not been an easy or smooth road to maintain a 4.0 GPA,” she acknowledged. But “my grades exemplify the hard work that I put into each and every one of my classes.” That work has not gone unnoticed. “Her work in my class with her was of the highest quality I have seen in nearly a decade of teaching the course,” said Associate Professor Troy Knight. Outside the classroom, Leen shows a heart for service in her work with the Extending the Link student documentary team and her student work fundraising for student scholarships. “Her peers look to her as an example of professionalism, hard work and a welcoming personality,” said Ellen Newkirk, CSB annual giving associate.
