Julia Buntrock

Academics

April 9, 2021

Julia Buntrock is a biology major with an exercise science/health studies minor on a pre-physical therapy track who has only let one AB blemish her string of all A grades. That is impressive. It’s her commitments outside the classroom, however, that make her outstanding. She was a Hynes Scholar and Biology 101/201 teaching assistant. She volunteers with the Community Kitchen and J-Walking programs. And from her first year, she has been involved with CERTS (consent, equality, respect, talking and safety). “I typically don’t hire incoming first-year students and was hesitant in this case as well,” said Assistant Director of Health Promotion Lori Klapperich. But Julia “never wavered in her commitment to the issues involved.”
