Brianna Kreft has used her time at Saint Ben’s to excel academically while embracing this community’s Benedictine values – specifically listening, justice and stewardship. “She is a smart, compassionate woman devoted to social justice and specifically to ensuring that all have a chance to succeed at CSB/SJU,” said Associate Professor Elisabeth Wengler, for whose College Success course Kreft served as a peer mentor. As a member of the Saint Ben’s Student Senate, Kreft was a key contributor to the development of the Senate’s call to action in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. That call to action has been a prominent driving force in the community’s journey toward antiracism.
