Aubrey Walter enjoys a good grade. Her 3.94 GPA confirms that. But she has learned to also engage intellectually by asking hard questions, making connections and truly absorbing the material. In multiple internships and building her Etsy business, she has embraced her global business leadership major. And her time as a Bonner Leader helped connect her classroom learning with her experiences in the broader community. “My participation in intellectual activities followed by … thoughtful conversations with other Bonners truly transformed my college experience,” she said. As a Bonner Leader, Walter became a crucial asset for her service site. “Aubrey has used her intelligence, organizational skills, creativity and servant’s heart to defend the potential of youth,” said Emily Steinmetz, sponsorship and event manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota.
