Liturgical Music Proficiencies

All Liturgical Music majors are required to pass proficiency examinations in organ and voice. Guitar proficiency is recommended but not required. Vocal proficiency is achieved at the discretion of the instructor. Proficiency exams can be taken only during juries at the end of the semester. Organ proficiency varies by students’ primary instruments and is provided by the instructor through consultation with the keyboard faculty. Organ majors must also complete a service playing proficiency. For more information, contact Dr. Kim Kasling.
