Paige Towsey-Grishaw

Adjunct Professor of Violin and Viola
Biography

Paige Towsey-Grishaw is the adjunct Violin/Viola instructor at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. In addition to teaching at CSB+SJU, Paige is a private music instructor at Saint John’s Preparatory School and maintains a private home teaching studio. She is currently a member of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra. 

Paige has enjoyed a career as a musician across the United States. She has performed with the Saint Cloud, Pasadena, Cheyenne, Fort Collins, and Greeley Symphony Orchestras. As a student, Paige has performed with the Henry Mancini Institute, American Modern Orchestra, and the National Orchestral Institute. She also studied chamber music at the Castleman Quartet Program and with the Lafayette String Quartet at Quartet Fest West. 

Paige holds degrees from the University of Miami Frost School of Music and University of Northern Colorado School of Music where she studied with Charles Castleman and Margaret Gutierrez, respectively. Paige’s teaching philosophy includes the idea that working together, student and teacher can reach new heights for ability and musical enjoyment. Technique serves artistry and musical expression, something that every individual is capable of.
