Biography
A native of Fresno, California, Jonathan Brandt joined the faculty of CSBSJU in the spring of 2024. In addition to his teaching duties, Jonathan is an active freelance musician in the Twin Cities, performing with the orchestras of the Minnesota Opera, Vocal Essence, and the Northrop Dance Series. He received a BM from the University of Southern California, MM from Rice University, and a DMA from the University of Minnesota. His primary teachers included Boyde Hood, Marie Speziale, and David Baldwin. Jonathan is also on the faculty of the MacPhail Center for Music.
