Biography
Soprano, Ana Miller, teaches applied voice at CSBSJU as well as elementary music with Catholic Community Schools. She received an M.M. in vocal performance from The University of Arizona, and a B.A. in music from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. An active recitalist, she has given faculty recitals at University of Minnesota Morris, Concordia College, Moorhead, and Iowa Wesleyan College and was awarded a Hinge Artist Residency for her recital project entitled Music and Madness. She has served as soprano soloist for Bach’s Magnificat and Cantata No. 140, Haydn’s Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo, Poulenc’s Gloria, Schubert’s Mass in G, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore and Missa brevis in B-flat major, Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer, Fauré’s Requiem, and Ralph M. Johnson’s This House of Peace. As a choral singer, Miller has sung with Ensemble Intersection, The Arizona Choir, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus, The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists, and The Concordia Choir. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Ana sings in the adult choir and is a staff singer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. She lives in St. Joseph with her husband Brad and their two sons, Nicholas and Lucas.
