Computers

The Clemens and Alcuin Libraries offer computers for student, faculty and staff use. The computer labs are maintained by IT Services and include both PCs and Macs. Details on the labs.

Clemens Library has the Creative Lab and the Alcuin Library Learning Commons has the Kling Lab, both of which are Mac labs outfitted for video editing using Final Cut Pro.

Personal Computers

Students can bring their personal devices to the library and wireless is available in both libraries. To learn more please visit Wireless Access at CSB and SJU or Wireless Network Coverage and Connection Information.

Students, faculty and staff have unlimited storage in the cloud via Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

Printers are available in both Libraries. Printing is managed by PaperCut. Consult Print to a Lab Printer from a Personal Computer or Mobile Device for directions.

Scanners

Both libraries have a flatbed scanner that send to csbsju.edu email addresses. Alcuin Library also has a book scanner, a Bookeye 4v3 Knowledge Imaging Center (KIC), designed for self-service book scanning. The scanner is also able to, edit and crop pages, convert text to an mp3 audio file. Scans and audio files can be emailed or copied to a stick drive via the USB port on the front of the scanner.

Other Spaces

The Clemens Library Makerspace houses our fabrication equipment including 3D printers, a vinyl printer, heat press, laser cutter, and more.

Alcuin Library Learning Commons is the location of the Video Studio. Part of the Colman Barry Creativity Center, the Studio is a multimedia production facility available to students, faculty and staff for original video and audio creation in a controlled studio setting. This space needs to be booked in advance via the website.
