Function/Description of the Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide educational programming for the student body on various topics related to women. The Program Coordinator will design and execute programs related to women’s development and leadership. The position requires the ability to: work as a team member; to think creatively; and to evaluate existing programs. There will be research required to gather information on issues that affect women’s development at CSB. Along with planning and executing events, the Program Coordinator will be required to staff the Institute regularly and to assist visitors to the Institute.

This is a great leadership opportunity for a student interested in women’s development and leadership. The Program Coordinator will learn about issues that are prevalent to women; will develop the skill to plan and execute various types of programs; and will enhance their ability to work more effectively in a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, complete, and evaluate programs, working collaboratively with other employees at the Institute
  • Gather information on various topics related to women’s development and leadership
  • Greet, assist and direct visitors to the Institute
  • Attend regular staff and advisory board meetings
  • Communicate with various departments, clubs, and organizations about initiatives within the Institute
  • Answer phone calls and perform other various office duties
  • Special projects determined by Student Director

Minimum Qualifications to Perform the Duties of the Position:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in leadership of people and projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team member
  • Background in gender studies or an interest in learning more about gender
