Gorecki Center Weddings

The Gorecki Center Rental of $1,450 Includes:

Gorecki 204 and the second floor lobby, setup and table linen for a dinner, table linen and skirting for the head table, cake table, gift table, DJ table, and name card table, linen for high-top tables, 24’x36’ dance floor, microphone and projectors with multi-imaging.

The space is open from: 9 a.m. – Midnight

Non-Refundable Deposit: $1,450

Gorecki Center Fireplace Lounge: $450 (Available summer and school breaks only)

Hors D ’oeuvres and Dinner Menu Available (See catering guide)

Butler service is available at an additional per-person charge. Prices are subject to change.

Children’s Meal: $10.50 per meal

A prearranged children’s meal can be arranged for your guests. Sample meals include chicken strips and grilled cheese. Each meal comes with tater tots, carrots and dip and milk. These selections are children’s portions.

Wedding Cake

Wedding cakes can be brought in but must be purchased from a licensed baker. We will cut and serve the cake at no additional charge.

Other Service Charges

Bar Service: $95 per bar

The College of Saint Benedict holds a full liquor license which allows the college to offer both host and cash bars. Please see the catering guide for selection and bar fees. Butler service is available at an additional charge.

Taxes/Service Charge:

Food and Housing: 7.625%

Alcohol: 10.125%

Service charge on food and beverages served: 15%

Payment:

One month prior to the event date, one half of the estimated invoice is due and two weeks prior to the event date the remainder of the estimated invoice is due. Final payment for the remaining balance is due 15 days after receipt of the final invoice for the event.

Decorating:

Decorating can be done in the Gorecki Center with prior approval. Candles with globes or votives are allowed as long as they prevent wax from dripping onto the tables, linens or floors. Confetti, glitter and real loose rose petals are not allowed.

Housing:

Air conditioned residence hall and apartment housing is available from the last week in May through the end of July. A personalized web page can be set up for your guests to reserve a room in advance. Room options vary.

The use of the Gorecki Center includes your reception, dinner and dance. Any other use of the center needs to be approved and prearranged with the Events & Catering Staff.
