Plan a Meal:

  • Meals have 3-4 food groups:  1. Milk/yogurt, 2. Protein such as meat, fish, eggs, cheese, legumes or vegetarian offering such as tofu, 3. Vegetables/fruit, 4. Grain
  • Meals usually have 3-4 items on the table
  • Be thoughtful about portions, use the my plate system to help plate your meal to get the most out of it nutritionally.
