TAO FAQs

  • TAO is an online therapy option for students interested in overcoming anxiety and depression.
  • TAO is an interactive, therapist assisted, online care program.
  • It consists of seven weeks of individually guided education and exercises accompanied by brief appointments with a clinician.
  • TAO is based on well researched and highly effective strategies for treating anxiety and depression
  • During each of the seven weeks, participants will watch videos, complete exercises, and meet with a clinician for a 15-20 minute consultation.
  • Meetings can occur online or in-person.
  • Participants spend approximately 60-90 minutes throughout the week working on exercises.
  • The program can be personalized to meet each individual's goals and treatment needs.

Who is eligible?

  • Currently enrolled students who want help with anxiety or depression.
  • 18 years old or older.
  • Students who are not experiencing severe anxiety or severe depression.
  • Students without a current substance abuse problem.
  • If taking medication, must have been on the same dose for at least one month prior to starting the treatment.
  • If planning to utilize video conferencing, access to a private computer with webcam.
