The Saint John’s University golf team is headed back to the NCAA Division III national tournament for the seventh-straight year and the 21st time in the past 24 seasons.

The Johnnies - who finished fifth at last season’s national meet - found out Monday they had received one of nine at-large bids available to the 43-team field. This year’s meet is scheduled for May 14-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nevada.

The tournament field is made up of 34 teams that won their conference, one Pool B selection (independents or conferences that do not have an automatic bid) and eight Pool C berths (teams that did not win their conference tournament).

SJU is currently ranked No. 11 in the most recent Bushnell/Golfweek Division III coaches’ poll.
