Nomin Angarag '18

Nomin Angarag ’18 is excited about her internship – partly for the good work she’s doing, but mostly for the key lessons she’s learning. During her summer with Jubilee USA Network (an organization that advocates for financial reform and debt relief for underdeveloped countries), she’s learning about non-profit fundraising, grant application and donor outreach.

Moving forward, she plans to put those skills to good use. “I started a charity called Gracious Acts when I was 16 years old,” she explains. Gracious Acts works to provide aid to impoverished communities in Mongolia.

“Over the years, I’ve realized I need grants in order to grow my charity,” Nomin says. “So I’m very excited to get more hands-on experience. I hope my organization can become a non-profit that helps underprivileged communities globally.”

In the meantime, she’s grateful for the chances she’s been given. “CSB has helped shape me into a leader by giving me different global and cultural experiences.”
