Retired President, Catholic Community Foundation of the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis
Since 2005, Marilou has been the President of the nation's largest foundation serving Catholic philanthropy. From 1997 to 2004, she was President of Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, a Catholic, liberal arts, and residential college for women with an enrollment of 1600 students. From 1979-1997 she served in several positions at The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, as the college's Dean of Students, Vice President for Administration, Vice President of the College, and Vice President and Academic Dean. Marilou presented the commencement address at the College of St. Catherine in December 2006, and has spoken on topics such as lay leadership in higher education, women as ethical leaders, women's leadership and single-sex education. She has served on several college boards and has been active in the St. Paul and South Bend civic communities.
Marilou is a graduate of Mundelein College in Chicago. She has a Ph.D. and M.A. from New York University, School of Education, and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame. She lives in St. Paul with her husband, Don.
