What is YTM?

YTM is a 9 day Summer Institute that promotes leadership, discernment, and faith formation. Youth typically come for two summers, work on a parish/community-based service or social justice project during the school year, and join us for an overnight retreat in January. We call our youth Summer I’s and Summer II’s.

What does a typical day at YTM look like?

7:30-8:30 a.m.   Breakfast         

8:30                 Morning Session

9:00                 Theologian for the Day & Announcements

9:45                Youth Theology Classes (until 11:45 a.m.)

11:45                Lunch

12:45                Service Sites

5:00                Supper/Free Time: Swimming, Volleyball, Tennis, etc.

7:30                 Evening Prayer Session, music, and testimony

8:45                 Social/Snack

9:30                 To the Dorms: Cabin Time (small groups)

11:00               Lights Out

How do I know if YTM is for me? 

YTM is open to high school youth who have completed 9th grade by the start of their first Summer Institute.

  • Do you want to explore your Catholic faith with the support of a beloved community?
  • Are you active in your parish community, or in school extracurricular activities?
  • Are you looking for ways to get more involved in the life of your parish?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then YTM might be for you!
