2017 YTM Summer Institute
As a high school youth in the YTM program, you will be part of a truly dynamic Catholic community with other young people from across the country. During the two-week Summer Institute, you will take college-level theology classes from CSB/SJU professors, do service and leadership activities, experience a variety of Christian prayer forms, and explore your vocational call--all while immersing yourself in the life of the Saint John's University campus, complete with volleyball, canoeing, hiking, swimming. You will also take part in many of our YTM traditions, including cabin time, an awesome dance, a volleyball tournament, and the annual No-Talent Show.
We understand that faith can't just be a two-week event. Equipped with the tools you need to sustain your faith, you will develop and implement a service-justice project in your local community during the school year with the guidance of your adult mentor. When you come back to YTM for your second Summer Institute, you will reflect on your leadership experience and its impact on your vocational journey.
During the Closing Session of the 2016 YTM Summer Institute, Caitlyn (a Summer II youth) gave us all a challenge to treat every moment as an opportunity to offer our lives as a prayer. View her testimony below:
9:00 a.m. - Prayer and Theological Presentation on Daily Theme
9:45 a.m. - Theology Courses
11:30 a.m. - Lunch
1:00 p.m. - Service-Leadership Project (service to immigrants, the elderly, and children)
5:00 p.m. - Supper, Free Time: Swimming, Volleyball, Tennis, Canoeing, etc. (Mass with the monastic communities at Saint John's and Saint Benedict's one day each week)

11:00 p.m. - Lights Out
YTM is open to high school youth who have completed 9th grade by the start of their first Summer Institute.
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then YTM might be for you!
YTM participants should also be willing to commit to a thirteen-month process that includes Summer Institute I, the development and completion of a parish/community-based service or social justice project during the school year, an overnight retreat in January, and Summer Institute II.
June 11-24, 2017.
The true cost of the Summer Institute is close to $2,000. However, because of the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and Vocation Partners, the cost to each youth is $800 (early bird rate is $750 if registered by February 28). This means that each and every youth who attends YTM automatically receives a scholarship of $1,200!
Registration begins January 1, 2017.
Go to our registration page, which will be live January 1, 2017!
