Dr. Jeffrey Kaster


Jeff has been involved in youth ministry since 1978 when he was hired for his first parish youth ministry position. Since then, he has served in a number of roles, including Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Saint Cloud. Jeff has been an adjunct professor of Theology at Saint John's since 1990. In 2000, Jeff became the Director of the newly-created Youth in Theology and Ministry program. Jeff has dedicated his career to discovering and developing successful strategies in fostering adolescent Christian discipleship.



Jessie Johnson

Jessie was a YTM counselor from 2007-2009 and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a Bachelor's degree in Theology (Pastoral Ministry) in 2009. From 2009-2013 Jessie served as Director of Youth Ministry at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, PA before returning to Minnesota for her current position in July 2013. She is responsible for managing the student staff, coordinating logistics for events and programs, and making sure things in the office run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.



Roger Pieper
YTM/Lilly Grant Graduate Assistant

Roger was a YTM counselor from 2008-2010 during his time as a student at Saint John's University. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a minor in Secondary Education. Roger taught high school religion, mathematics, and accounting at Holy Trinity School in Winsted, MN from 2010-2013, and enrolled in the Master's liturgy program at Saint John's School of Theology·Seminary in Fall 2013. Roger's responsibilities include the financial budget planning, file maintenance, and development.



Kenzie Meagher
YTM Graduate Assistant

Kenzie graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Theology and Religious Studies (Youth Ministry/Religious Education). Throughout college Kenzie was mentored by three YTM MA Cohort Members: Nathan Langer and Jessica Ellingson at the College of St. Scholastica, and Hannah Voss in her parish work. Kenzie enrolled in the Master's of Divinity program at Saint John's School of Theology·Seminary in Fall 2013. She is responsible for marketing and administrative aspects of the program.



Karen Pelletier
Student Worker

Karen is a sophomore student at the College of Saint Benedict, and is pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Global Business Leadership. She participated in YTM as a youth in 2010-2011 and has been the YTM Student Worker since October 2012. Her job includes maintaining the YTM website and taking care of miscellaneous tasks around the office.
