The Afterlife: Is There a Heaven? Is There a Hell?

Fr. Dale Launderville, OSB, Ph.D.

Will we see again our loved ones who have passed away? Is there a place after death where we as individuals will survive and connect once again with the people and relationships that shape our lives in the here-and-now? Stories of those with near-death experiences have captured the attention of many in our time. How do these experiences align with accounts in the Bible on life-after-death? How does belief in the afterlife influence the way we live in the here-and-now?
