RE: Msgr. James Dillenburg SOT '65
Msgr. James Dillenburg is celebrating 50 years of priesthood. He has served in various capacities such as a parish pastor, port chaplain, director of vocations, and in leadership roles for the Apostleship of the Sea (AOS) that took him as far as the Vatican Office for Apostleship of the Sea. Dillenburg's ministry has touched the lives of many. Looking back at his priesthood, Msgr. Dillenburg said, "At the beginning of my priesthood, if I could have designed my life to do whatever I wanted to do... I could never, ever have come up with anything as fantastic as what God did to me."
Msgr. Dillenburg recently received the Ezekial: Prophet of Hope Award from Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary for "building collaborative environments in which lay, ordained and religious can live out their prophetic ministries to the church and the world" through his port ministry and involvement with the AOS.
We congratulate Msgr Dillenburg on his 50 years of priesthood and for his faithful service to the Church. We wish him the best in his continuing ministry.
