1. McNeely Center Celebrates Ten Years
The Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship is celebrating ten years of inspiring the entrepreneurial spirit at Saint John’s and Saint Ben’s. The late Donald McNeely, a former Regent, was the primary visionary and investor behind the center, founded to provide classes, coaching and assistance to young entrepreneurs.

2. Author On Campus for Abbey Church Book Release
Author Victoria Young will be at SJU Oct. 24-25 to discuss her new book “Saint John’s Abbey Church: Marcel Breuer and the Creation of a Modern Sacred Space.” She will give a talk Oct. 24 in the Abbey Chapter House at 7:45 p.m. followed by a book signing. She will also lead a tour of the church on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m., followed by a book signing in the Saint John’s University Bookstore.

3. Thousands Enjoy Homecoming and Reunion
More than 12,000 alumni, parents and friends returned to campus for Homecoming and Reunion Weekend Oct. 3-4. Friday evening featured the Alumni Association Homecoming Banquet, which included the presentation of the Fr. Walter Reger Distinguished Alumnus Award to Jim Platten ’74. Saturday included football and soccer games and the Celebration on the Tundra.
