You will find the academic calendar for this year and next year on the CSB/SJU Web site. This calendar includes all the key dates for breaks, finals, commencement, etc. Several important dates coming in the next two months, include:

The College of Saint Benedict will host commencement at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 9, at the Clemens Field House and Saint John's University will host commencement at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 10, at the Abbey Church. You can find more details about commencement on the CSB/SJU Web site.

The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University have launched a virtual tour featuring interactive maps of both campuses. The tour also includes student narrated "theme tours" describing life at CSB and SJU - from our academic programs to our athletics to what it's like to live on campus. Visit the virtual tour to take a look. Please forward the link to any high school students or their parents who might be interested in learning more about CSB and SJU.
Readers' Corner updates at the Bookstores
The CSB/SJU Bookstores have added book recommendations from Joe DesJardins, associate provost/academic dean and Kathy Parker, director of the Alcuin and Clemens Libraries, to our "Readers' Corner". DesJardins' titles include A Theory of Justice by John Rawls, Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian and The Euthyphro by Plato. Parker's recommended titles are Ordinary Wolves by Seth Kantner, The Great Fire by Shirley Hazzard and The Last Shot by Darcy Frey. Visit the campus bookstores or our Bookstore Web site to see their interesting recommendations, along with recommendations by President MaryAnn Baenninger, Abbot John Klassen, Prioress Nancy Bauer and Bishop John Kinney.
New exhibit open at Saint Benedict's Monastery
"By the Work of Our Hands," the 2009 exhibit at the Haehn Museum is now open. Come see photos, maps and artifacts from the Monastery's long history of sustainability and self-sufficiency. Learn about the turkey operation, gladiola fields and cobbler shop. You can see a preview slide show on the Monastery's Web site.
