Festival of Cultures celebrates campus diversity

The CSB/SJU Intercultural Center celebrates the 15th annual Festival of Cultures from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Hahn Campus Center at CSB.

Music, dancing, food and fun highlight the diversity on both campuses. It is open to the public and free of charge.

CSB and SJU students from countries all over the world dress in their native clothing and serve traditional cuisine from their home country. Student performances will include poetry readings, singing and a fashion show.

"It's an opportunity for students to demonstrate their culture and for everyone in the community to learn about these cultures," said Andy Dirksen, assistant director of the Intercultural Center. "We want to reinforce the idea that people living in our community are coming from all over the world."
