CSB/SJU Health Promotion, along with campus peer health groups, has been publicizing the effects alcohol consumption has on men and women. According to the 2013 Alcohol and Other Drug Use Survey, drinking rates at CSB/SJU have been trending down over the last decade.
The Student Employment Office has posted numerous job openings for spring semester. The upcoming spring work season offers students the chance to explore additional options and to experience life working at CSB/SJU. Working on campus is a responsibility, but the advantages that follow are worth it.
Have you heard a Bennie or Johnnie talk about how strong the alum connection is for CSB/SJU? On Nov. 6 the CSB/SJU network was in action when 197 alums came back to campus for the sixth annual Career EXPO; the alums spent the day talking with students, sharing their expertise and providing advice. Our alums feel a strong connection and commitment to CSB/SJU and continue to be a resource and mentor to students as they engage in career exploration.
On Nov. 13, we came together and made something amazing happen for deserving young women. More than 780 donors contributed $240,539 to College of Saint Benedict during our $100K in a day challenge. That's a lot of scholarship help. We are grateful and extraordinarily impressed. It was the largest single-day of online giving in our 100-year history. From all of us at CSB, especially our students, thank you.
