Music Exploration Day at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University won't feature a polka band, singing cowboy or 1980s hair band.

But if you are a high school student — particularly a junior or senior — who is interested in majoring in music or participating in one of the many musical groups at CSB and SJU, then Musical Exploration Day Friday, April 10, is music for your ears.

The day begins with registration at 9 a.m. at the Great Hall, SJU. The event includes breakout sessions for students interested in voice/choral, piano, brass, jazz and wind ensembles, composition, opera and music theater, liturgical music/organ, woodwinds, strings and music education.

Performances will also be presented by the CSB/SJU Chamber Choir and the SJU Men's Chorus at 10:45 a.m. at SJU, and the CSB/SJU Jazz Combo and Wind Ensemble at 1:15 p.m. at CSB. Tours will also be available of both the CSB and SJU campuses, and a complimentary lunch will be served at CSB.

The event is free, but registration is requested here. Register online.
