The CSB/SJU Fine Arts Series presents Eschaton: Related Works, an exhibit by Nancy Randall. The exhibit will be on display from Friday, Oct. 10 - Sunday, Nov. 16 in the Saint John's University Arts Center.

This retrospective by Randall, a critically acclaimed visual artist, illuminates timeless themes of transformation engaged by the artist for more than three decades. Featuring key signature images this exhibit includes Randall's early iconic prints and kinesthetic drawings, monumental mixed-media landscapes and stoneware sculptures created by the artist at St. John's Pottery. With its recurring motifs (cicada, wolf, migrating herds, boat and helmet) this presentation sets the stage for the permanent installation of Randall's sculptural masterwork Eschaton: Sanctuary for the End of Time on the wooded grounds of the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research in October.

A public reception to celebrate both the gallery exhibition and outdoor installation premier is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Eschaton: Related Works is made possible by a Lee Krasner Award (2009-2011) from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. Nancy Randall is a fiscal year 2014 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to an appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
