Olivia Newgaard

Olivia Newgaard began her collegiate career at Illinois Wesleyan University. In the summer of 2017, she was an undergraduate student researcher in the brain injury research lab at Hennepin County (Minnesota) Medical Center. She also completed undergraduate research at Illinois Wesleyan during the 2016-17 school year. Newgaard has made two Global Medical Brigades trips to Honduras, and is a student health assistant at St. Cloud (Minnesota) Hospital. She’s a teaching assistant in the biology department at CSB and Saint John’s University, and served as a Special Olympics basketball coach in spring 2017.
