The Politics of Immigration and a Catholic Counternarrative

The College of Saint Benedict Koch Chair in Catholic Thought and Culture will host its annual fall lecture featuring Kristin Heyer, Bernard J. Hanley Professor of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University. Dr. Heyer, author of Kinship Across Borders: A Christian Ethic of Immigration, will analyze dominant immigration frameworks in light of migrants' concrete experiences and explore the resources the Catholic intellectual tradition brings to bear on this pressing moral issue. Her remarks will conclude by sketching the contours of a Catholic immigration ethic for the 21st century.

Coaching Boys' High School Teams: Female Coaches' Experiences and Perceptions

Janna LaFountaine presents her Research Colloquium on being a female coach for male sports.  She is an Associate Professor, Coaching Education Advisor, Sports Management/Coventry University (UK) Exchange Program Coordinator and has been a part of the CSBSJU community since the year 2000.
