Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki pledged $2.7 million to the Benedicta Arts Center expansion in the Fall 2004. Ben and Dorothy are the president and secretary/treasurer of Gorecki Manufacturing, Inc.. The college honored the Gorecki's generosity by naming the Benedicta Arts Center's theater, fine arts gallery and west lobby for them. The CSB/SJU Theater Department regularly stages theater performances in this space. The Gorecki Family Theater seats approximately 300 patrons, and can also be set up "cabaret style" with tables for jazz performances.
