Request for Information

The Office of the Dean of Students at SJU often receives requests for student information from third parties (i.e. a job application, an application to be admitted to the bar, a transfer application, etc).  Student information requested by a third party will only be released with the written permission of the student about whom the inquiry is being made.  Requests to release information will be accepted through the following means:

  • In person
  • By mail
  • By fax

The Records and Privacy Policy outlines the specific conditions under which a student's information can be released to a third party. The requesting party must provide a copy of the student's written authorization that the records may be released. It is strongly encouraged that the dates of the student's attendance at SJU are included in the written release of information as this will aid in the processing of the request.
