Having a few friends that attended Saint John's and hearing their stories about the campus, sports (particularly swimming), academics, and social life really prompted me to look further into what Saint Ben's had to offer. After contacting the head swimming and diving coach about an overnight visit, I was ready to start a journey that I will never forget.

While on campus for my overnight, I felt a sense of belonging. I knew that whatever I decided to do with my four years, I would know that I am moving in the right direction. I quickly sent in my one and only college application to The College of Saint Benedict and prayed that my dream would come true. Sure enough, I opened my mailbox one morning and my acceptance letter had arrived.

Although I am no longer swimming, I have enjoyed finding my niche other places whether that be taking a ceramics class and being coming more active in the arts, attending Praise in the Pub with other Bennies and Johnnies who share the same love for God as I do, or having the opportunity to be an Orientation Leader and provide insight to incoming First Years, the search has been worthwhile.

As a junior who is about the embark on the study abroad program in Cork, Ireland, I can honestly say that I have used my past two and a half years at Saint Ben's to its fullest extent and I cannot picture myself attending any other college. Here’s to the next year and a half!
