Phonathon FAQ

What are Student Advancement Ambassadors?

The Student Advancement Ambassadors team is the frontline of the Saint Ben's Annual Giving Program made up of current students who work for Saint Ben's Institutional Advancement.  The Student Advancement Ambassadors team contacts alumnae, parents and friends of Saint Ben's by telephone in order to raise money for student scholarships.

Who are we?

The Student Advancement Ambassadors team is made up of current students who are first-years through seniors. These students belong to the Student Advancement Ambassadors through their work-study program. They are working to help pay for their education, so they especially understand how important scholarships are for students.

Within the Student Advancement Ambassadors team, there is a team of student supervisors who lead the callers during their work shifts. Ellen Newkirk ’13, the Student Advancement Ambassadors Director, oversees the entire Student Advancement Ambassadors team as it works toward reaching its yearly goals.

What do we do?

The Student Advancement Ambassadors team makes phone calls throughout the school year to reach YOU - alumnae, parents and friends - to stay connected to Saint Ben's. We work to continue the Saint Ben's tradition of community by keeping you with involved with us and giving back so others can experience how incredible Saint Ben's truly is.

Our main goals:

  • Build lasting relationships with alumnae, parents and friends
  • Share current CSB news and events
  • Update the College of Saint Benedict's records
  • Raise money for students scholarships

Where does the money we raise go?

Unless otherwise specified, 100 percent of your gifts goes to students through Current Scholarships.

Why should you pick up the phone?

Pick up the phone to get in contact with students who love Saint Ben's as much as you do. Keep the College updated on what is happening in your life (we would love to publish your accomplishments in our monthly newsletter), find out what is currently happening on campus, and most importantly, help support a current Bennie so she may have the amazing experience that you did.
