Give Saint Ben's
June 30th, 2014 was the last day of our FY14 fiscal year. Over 139 new donors and 13 Sustainers contributed to our challenge! Thank you!
A special thanks to Anne McGarry, Cate McGinnis, Lynn Newman, Lorraine Birskovich, Mary Zitur Miley and Mary Flynn Worley from the class of 1979 who came together in honor of their 35th reunion and challenged us to help reach our year-end annual giving and alum participation goals.
For every 10 alumnae who made an annual gift, $500 in matching funds were released. An additional $100 were released for every alumna who became a Saint Ben's Sustainer by setting up a recurring gift.
Why did the Class of 1979 encouraging your participation in giving? To put it simply, annual gifts from alumnae like you not only provide money for student scholarships and the future of Saint Ben's, but they also increase the value of the Saint Ben's degree you already have. Our participation percentage is one of the ways Saint Ben's is measured and ranked against other institutions.
Today, Saint Ben's is:
- Tier 1, top 100 liberal arts college
- The only Benedictine college for women in the U.S.
- A member of the Phi Beta Kappa
- One of two Minnesota private schools name to President Obama's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, with distinction
- A recipient of Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization
