Volunteer Opportunities

Want to get more involved with Saint Ben's? Learn about some of the great opportunities below.

Saint Ben's Alumnae Relations Opportunities

Alumnae Board The Alumnae Board serves as the governing body of Saint Ben's Alumnae Association. Elected members of the Alumnae Board are women who foster lifelong relationships with alumnae and other constituents.

Bennie Career Closet Donate new or gently used professional clothing to support Saint Ben’s students. The purpose of this closet is to ensure that all Bennies have access to clothing for educational opportunities and professional advancement. This closet hopes to give access to Bennies who may not otherwise have it.

Bennie Mentor Program The mission of the Bennie Mentor Program is to foster an exchange of ideas, friendship and expertise between CSB alumnae – young and old. Alumnae are welcomed and encouraged to serve as both a mentor and mentee for a nine-month commitment. New applications are accepted July 1-31.

Chapter and Affinity Groups Group involvement helps bring alumnae together to share experiences, promote connections and encourage Saint Ben's visibility in area communities.

First-Year Care Package Program This program gives alumnae the chance to send a care package (referred to as "Bennitine's") to first-year students the week of Valentine's Day.

InterAction This program matches current alums with a current CSB/SJU student for an informal, career conversation over lunch, coffee or even virtually. Current students select one alum from the volunteer database to ask to lunch based upon the alum's career field and place of employment. Sign up to add your name to the database.

Reunion Class Ambassador Provide support to the reunion planning team by conducting regular and intentional outreach to classmates, encouraging them to come back to campus during their reunion year and increase class giving.

Young Alum Committee The CSB/SJU Young Alum Committee (YAC) is a group that provides programming and resources to Bennies and Johnnies who have been out of college for 10 years or less. The planning committee organizes several events and activities throughout the year, primarily in the Twin Cities area.

Other Campus Opportunities

Admission Volunteer Volunteer at events to serve as a career panelist or to staff a college fair booth. Serve as a resource and mentor for prospective and admitted students, or simply create a video highlighting your experiences and the value of a CSB/SJU education.

Experience & Professional Development (XPD) Alums are an integral part of XPD programming, like the SEAM Program (Student Exploration through Alum Mentorship) and posting internship and job opportunities. XPD also offers some great resources for alumnae.
