Friday, May 10

    • 5:30 p.m. – Mass, Saint John’s Abbey and University Church

Saturday, May 11

    • 8 – 10 a.m. – Breakfast, Gorecki Dining and Conference Center
    • 10:30 a.m. – Academic Procession Line-Up, in front of Clemens Library (if raining, find your way to the Link Hall in the Haehn Campus Center)
    • 10:55 a.m. - Academic Procession Begins
    • 11:00 a.m. - Commencement, Clemens Field House, Haehn Campus Center

FACULTY/ STAFF/TRUSTEES INFORMATION

ACADEMIC ATTIRE:  Faculty, Staff and Trustees wear the tassel to the left side of the mortarboard. The Invocation and Final Blessing are the only two times the mortarboard should be removed from your head.

ACADEMIC PROCESSION:  The Academic Procession will form at 10:30 a.m. (two abreast) on the walkway in front of the Clemens Library. Should it be raining steadily at 10:30 a.m. proceed immediately to the link hallway in the Haehn Campus Center for line-up.

PROCESSION ORDER:

  1. Doctor of Nursing Candidates
  2. Master of Nursing Candidates
  3. Bachelor of Arts Graduates
  4. Bachelor of Science Graduates
  5. Faculty and Staff
  6. Trustees
  7. Platform Party

SEATING/COMMENCEMENT PROGRAMS: The chairs on either side of the stage are reserved for Faculty, Administration and Trustees who process. Those in the academic procession should not carry programs.  Programs will be at your seat in the field house.

RECESSIONAL: Graduates will leave the field house in procession after the platform party, trustees, faculty, and staff. The procession leaves the field house, forming a line to congratulate the graduates (with applause) as they exit the building. Please join us for a punch and cookie reception outside of the Haehn Campus Center after the ceremony. If it is raining, the reception will be in Claire Lynch.

    • 2:30 p.m. - Academic Procession Line-up
    • 2:55 p.m. - Academic Procession Begins
    • 3:00 p.m. - Commencement, Saint John's Abbey and University Church

Should it be raining steadily at 2:30 p.m. proceed immediately to the Great Hall to line up facing east (toward the back of the Great Hall). The procession follows the graduate students in the east hall (Business office corridor) of the Quadrangle.

PROCESSION ORDER:

  1. Bachelor of Arts Graduates
  2. Bachelor of Science Graduates
  3. School of Theology Masters Graduates
  4. Faculty and Staff
  5. Trustees
  6. Platform Party

SEATING/COMMENCEMENT PROGRAMS: The upper choir stalls have been reserved for faculty, staff and trustees who are processing. Those in the academic procession should not carry programs. Programs will be at your seat in the Church.

RECESSIONAL: Graduates will leave the Church in procession after the platform party, trustees, faculty, and staff. The procession leaves the Church, forming a line to congratulate the graduates (with applause) as they exit the church. There will be a reception on the plaza areas by the Great Hall and the Stephen B Humphrey Theater.
