Health Advocates

  • Mission: The mission of the CSB Health Advocates is to promote and inspire student wellness by encouraging the integration of healthy choices and self-responsibility into a college lifestyle. We provide programming specific to women that encompasses the health of the whole person - mind, body, and spirit.
  • Who we are:The Health Advocates are a peer educator group sponsored by the CSB/SJU Counseling & Health Promotion Department, that promotes positive living choices via health campaigns, informational booths, and many other fun activities throughout the academic year!
  • What we do:The HAs presence on campus increases every year with the addition of extensive programming. Certain specialty topics include: exercise, sexual health, substance abuse and time/stress management. The Health Advocates participate in orientation and training in the fall; attend weekly meetings throughout the academic year. The HA program is a peer-based outreach program. HAs are a group of CSB women who are chosen through a selection process in the spring and fall.
  • Disclaimer:The CSB HAs are student employees and due to the nature of their backgrounds, are not offering medical advice of any sort. Any health concerns should be directed to a primary health professional.
