What you need to know about
CSB + SJU Scholarships

Your scholarship and financial aid offer package could include a combination of need-based and merit-based aid. Need-based financial aid is available to all qualifying students. Merit-based aid is awarded to students based on a combination of their test scores, GPA, curriculum, extracurricular involvement and volunteer work.

  • Academic Achievement Scholarships

    $30,000-$36,000

    Offered to students based on academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership and service.

  • Alum Referral Scholarships

    $1,000 per year, renewable

    Students who are referred to CSB+SJU by an alum by Jan. 15 of their senior year are eligible. Alums should use our online referral form to submit names.

  • Army ROTC & ROTC Nursing Scholarships

    100% of tuition and fees per year, renewable

    Students interested in joining ROTC who have demonstrated high achievement, have broad interests and a willingness to take on challenges are encouraged to apply.

  • Art, Music and Theater Scholarships

    Up to $6,000 per year, renewable

    Students who have participated in and excelled in art, music or theater are encouraged to apply. A major in art, music or theater is not necessary, but continued participation in college is required.

  • Benedictine Scholarships

    $7,500 per year, renewable

    Offered to students from low-income families (with demonstrated family need) who have completed a college access program or students from urban high schools without a college access program.

  • Bonner Leader Program

    $2,500 per year, plus Student Employment award, renewable

    Students interested in community engagement and social justice are encouraged to apply for this service and leadership scholarship program.

    $12,000 per year, renewable

    First-generation college students committed to intercultural issues and action through leadership, education and development are encouraged to apply.

  • Legacy Scholarship

    $1,000 per year, renewable

    Offered to students with a parent or grandparent who has attended CSB+SJU, or with a sibling who is a current or former CSB+SJU student. (NOTE: Legacy students are not eligible for the Alum Referral Scholarship.

    $1,000-$3,000 per year, renewable

    Students recognized as National Merit or Hispanic Scholars Finalists, Semi-Finalists or Commended in the national competition are eligible and encouraged to apply.

    $5,000 per year, renewable

    This scholarship is awarded to recognize academics, leadership and service and to acknowledge the expense of traveling out-of-state to college.

    Academically accomplished women who wish to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) after graduation are encouraged to apply for this four-year scholarship.
