Program Overview

Several pathways into engineering

  • Graduate from csb+sju with a Physics major with the Engineering Physics options or with one of our other science majors such as Chemistry, Computer Science, or Mathematics and take a job in industry.
  • Take your csb+sju degree to an engineering graduate program, such as the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin, or Stanford.
  • Transfer into an undergraduate engineering program, including our dual degree option with Washington University in St. Louis (WashU).

The dual degree program with WashU has clear criteria

  • Include engineering prerequisites in your liberal arts coursework
  • Achieve a minimum 3.25 GPA – cumulative both overall and in STEM courses
  • Apply to WashU Engineering – no application fee, no additional testing
  • Have the endorsement of our pre-engineering advisor

Degree Overview

Every student admitted can earn 3 degrees in 6 years.

  • 3-3 : Liberal arts bachelor’s degree from csb+sju, plus engineering bachelor’s and masters degrees

Every Dual Degree student is eligible for some kind of financial support.

  • Automatic tuition discounts – 50% year 1, 55% year 2, 60% year 3
  • Merit-based scholarships – separate application required
