Fall Move-in Information

Please refer to the information provided below when making your move-in plans. We hope to answer most questions regarding move-in on this page. If there is a question not answered here, please feel free to contact the Residential Life Office!

When can I move in?

All returning students living in Lottie, Margretta, Brian, the campus apartments and the campus houses are strongly encouraged to return to campus on Saturday, August 24th or Sunday, August 25th.
Note: If you (or your coach/supervisor) submitted an early arrival request, you should have received a separate email with instructions on what to do when you arrive. Summer residents also should have received information about the move from summer housing to academic year housing.

Also if you live off campus or are here early, keep in mind that you should not drive into the CSB Security Circle to go to the bookstore, check your mail etc, as this is where first year students will be unloading and there will be no parking available for you.

Where do I get my keys?

Keys will be available in the office for your building/area during the hours listed below:

  • August 24th - 25th - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Office Locations:

Margretta & Brian Hall: RD Office, Brian Hall
Lottie:  RD Office, Lottie Hall
East Apartments, Margaret & Idzerda Houses: Luetmer Lounge - located on the north end of the second floor of Luetmer.
West Apartments, Anne & Rainbow Houses:  RD Office, Lower Level of Dominica

If you arrive outside of the hours listed above, your keys will be available for pick up at the Mary Commons Information Desk.

Early Arrival Requests and Information:

Returning Students should plan to move in on Saturday and Sunday, August 24th and 25th, 2013.

If there is an extenuating circumstance and you need to arrive prior to these dates please submit a request to arrive early. This request must be submitted NO LATER than August 1st, 2013! You will receive an email response from us letting you know the status of your request and appropriate check-in details.

Note that coaches and supervisors have already made arrangements for students needing to arrive early for intercollegiate athletics or on-campus employment. The same is true for students arriving early due to clubs and various welcoming activities. Students approved for early arrivals should have received a separate email with instructions for key pick up from this office.

Early return requests will be considered on a case by case basis and are generally approved due to distance to campus (coming from 4 or more hours away) or other extenuating circumstances.  You are STRONGLY discouraged from arriving to campus prior to Saturday, August 24th, 2013.
