Counseling Services

CSB/SJU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) staff members work with CSB & SJU students to enhance their personal development and academic achievement. At times, students experience personal, relational, social, or academic difficulties which they cannot fully resolve on their own, and find it helpful to talk to a mental health professional about their concerns. In order to help students with such difficulties, CAPS provides a variety of confidential services at no charge.

Upcoming Groups ...

Yoga Therapy

This group will combine yoga with group psychotherapy to promote mental health and a more positive self-image. Each week we will practice breathing, meditation, and yoga postures designed to increase self-awareness and promote positive body image. We will also discuss body image in a confidential group format. Pre-Registration is required before April 2 and space is limited. Please call Counseling Services at 363-5605 to sign up. Group will be led by Angella Kocian, Psy.D. and certified yoga instructor, and Laura Sherr, Psy.D., L.P., and certified yoga instructor.

  

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

CSB/SJU students are welcome to call the Counseling and Health Promotion office at either CSB or SJU. Parents, friends, or faculty cannot schedule appointments for a student and appointments cannot be made via email.

Appointments can also be made by stopping by either the CSB or the SJU office.
